Do you want to do something extraordinary for God? As a believer, the promise to do great exploits for God is already yours!
The Word of God declares, “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Dan.11:32).
Historically, some of the greatest “exploits” and accomplishments have
come about as the result of an extraordinary dream by an ordinary
person. This is true, for example, in Church history, where some of the
most magnificent revivals have occurred because someone had a desire to
make an eternal difference.
Many great revivalists of the past, like Charles G. Finney, George
Whitfield, Aimee Semple McPherson, Jonathan Edwards, Andrew Murray, were
ordinary people who did extraordinary things for God.
George Whitfield was perhaps the most travelled Gospel preacher in
his day, and many regard him as the greatest evangelist of all time.
From the moment he preached his first sermon at age 22 following his
ordination until the end of his life, he never ceased to win souls. He
ministered in the 1700s open-air meetings with no microphone to amplify
his voice, yet it is said that he could be heard a mile away! And the
crowds at his meetings were reported to be the greatest ever assembled
at that time to hear the preaching of the Gospel – as many as 100,000
people in one gathering!
Whitfield, who often was called “The Awakener” and “The Fire
Bringer,” was nonetheless a compassionate man of prayer. While Jonathan
Edwards was calling men to repentance in New England and John Wesley was
reaching the lost in England, Whitfield was ministering on both sides
of the Atlantic. He made 13 trans-Atlantic voyages by ship between
England and America during his nearly 35 years of ministry, ministering
face-to-face to more than 10 million people. His diligence and
commitment significantly helped turn town nations back to God.
Another giant of the faith was Charles G. Finney. This
nineteenth-century preacher presented an uncompromising Gospel, and
everywhere he went lost souls were swept into the Kingdom of God in mass
as the convicting power of the Holy Spirit drew men to the Saviour.
Finney was committed to winning souls to Christ and to making a
difference in the lives of men for eternity. Dr. Billy Graham once said,
“Few men have had such a profound impact on their generation as Charles
G. Finney. Through his Spirit-filled evangelistic ministry, uncounted
thousands came to know Christ, resulting in one of the greatest periods
of revival in the history of America.”

Atmosphere of revival |
George Whitfield and Charles G. Finney were just ordinary men who
were used by God to make an extraordinary difference. Because of these
men and other great heroes of the faith, millions of precious souls have
been rescued from sin and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
You can make a difference too! As a partner in
ministry, you can have an impact on nations as you affect the eternal
destiny of millions! Perhaps you’re saying, “Me? Make a difference? What
can I do? I can’t go to the nations!”
My friends, there has never been a greater hour in the history of the
church! Today, we have more tools and greater resources at our disposal
to preach the Gospel than ever before. Simultaneously, millions of
people all over the globe can hear the message of the cross and witness
God’s miracle working-power through television. God has called us to do
great things together for Him, and your support, in prayer and finances,
as my dear friend and partner in ministry is making a difference in
lives around the world every day.
Today, because of your faithfulness, sick bodies will be healed and
lost souls around the globe will hear the message of Jesus’ love and
find hope as they surrender their hearts and lives to the Saviour. Your
generous support will help thousands of children who were once orphaned
and abandoned experience the love of Jesus in a tangible way today as
they are cared for.
Perhaps, you can’t physically go to the world, but you can go with me
by sowing your seed and supporting the work of the Gospel. And as we
partner together and you faithfully sow your seed, I will go to the
nations and preach the Gospel, for “the harvest truly is great, but the
labourers are few” (Luke 10:2).
Jesus has done all He can do to see the lost saved. Now it’s up to you and me! Source:ckwe.org
